Darlleniadau Chapter 3
Cyfres o ddigwyddiadau i ddathlu, ar lafar, gogoniant ac arwyddocâd y gair ysgrifenedig.
Pob mis bydd artist neu grŵp o artistiaid yn llunio darlleniad wedi’i ysbrydoli gan lenyddiaeth a’i greu o thema neu syniad unigol.
Lluniwyd darlleniad Mehefin gan Wales PEN Cymru a daw â cherddorion a beirdd Cwrdaidd a Chymraeg ynghyd i greu noson o ganeuon, chwedlau gwerin a cherddi ac i danlinellu’r frwydr ar y cyd dros hawliau ieithyddol. Ymysg y perfformwyr fydd Ali Sizer (cerddor a gweithredwr Cwrdaidd ), Geraint Rhys (canwr/cyfansoddwr Cymraeg) a Clare Potter (bardd).
Bydd darlleniadau mewn Cwrdeg, y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg.
Mae’r perfformiad hwn yn rhan o brosiect Wales PEN Cymru i gefnogi hawliau ieithyddol y Cwrdiaid. Bu Ali Sizer, sy’n ganwr Cwrdaidd yn y traddodiad dengbej ac yn chwarae’r saz, yn cydweithio hefo grŵp o ferched o Ganolfan Gymunedol y Cwrdiaid yng Nghasnewydd a heno byddant yn cyflwyno rhai straeon traddodiadol Cwrdaidd i ni ar gân. Bydd Ali Sizer yn perfformio a bydd cerddorion a beirdd o Gymru yn ymuno ag ef.
Datblygwyd a goruchwiliwyd y prosiect gan gynyrchiadau Be Aware fel rhan o Peilot, Rhaglen Artist Cyswllt Chapter.

Chapter Readings 3
A series of events celebrating the beauty and significance of the written word, spoken aloud.
Each month, an artist or a group of artists will design a literature-inspired reading created from a single theme or idea.
June reading is designed by Wales PEN Cymru bringing together Kurdish and Welsh musicians and poets to create an evening of songs, folk tales and poetry and to demonstrate a shared struggle for linguistic rights. Performers include Ali Sizer, (Kurdish musician and activist), Geraint Rhys (Welsh singer/songwriter) and Clare Potter (poet).
The reading will be in Kurdish, Welsh and English.
This performance is part of a Wales PEN Cymru project to support Kurdish linguistic rights. Ali Sizer, singer in the Kurdish dengbej tradition and saz player, has been working alongside a group of women from the Kurdish Community Centre in Newport and this evening they will sing for us some traditional Kurdish stories. Ali Sizer will perform and will be joined by Welsh musicians and poets.
The project is developed and curated by Be Aware productions as part of Chapter’s Associate Artist Programme, Peilot.
